Roots Reborn, a multicultural immigrant justice and environmental disaster response group here on Maui. We are hosting our second annual DIA DE LOS MUERTOS 2024 celebration this fall on Saturday, November 2nd, at the Cameron Center in Wailuku. Our second annual event will bring the Maui community together for a culturally significant experience.
EVENT SUMMARY
Dia de los Muertos is a pre colonial celebration practiced throughout Latin America that celebrates our dearly departed. Last year, with less than a month to plan we were thrilled to welcome over 600 guests at the Cameron Center. The night was filled with the vibrant performances of Mariachi Espectacular, dancing, and delicious food. Children enjoyed activities organized by local organizations like the Pacific Cancer Foundation, Maui Cookie Lady, and Maui High School.
This year, we’re aiming higher by offering even more food, crafts, entertainment and an exciting keiki zone! Celebrate our culture and traditions with the Maui community. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
