Join us for a day of mālama ʻāina.
Our tasks will focus on watering our previously planted native Hawaiian trees such as Wili Wili, ʻIliahi, ʻAʻaliʻi etc. We will also prepare future sites and if available we can collect some seed for planting next year.

Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024
Time: 8:15 am to 1:00 pm
Place: Meet at the gravel parking lot on the Ukumehame side of Leoda’s Pie Shop.
What to bring: Long-sleeve shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes with good tread, at least 2 liters of water, snacks, lunch, sun protection, and a backpack to carry everything. MKWP will provide gloves and tools. Please make sure your packs, clothing, shoes and gear are cleaned of all mud, dirt, seeds, etc.
What to expect: We will caravan into the valley and park our cars in a safe location. We will take a short hike to our work stewardship site approximately 1/2 mile from the parking lot. We will enjoy lunch next to Olowalu stream and be back at the vehicles by 1:00 pm.
