ABOUT KUMU MEA KANU KITS:
The Kumu Mea Kanu project is designed to reconnect and strengthen students’ relationships with their land, food, and community via hybrid garden learning. We assemble and distribute garden learning kits to students and pair them with an online curriculum and related video lessons.
These kits included an age-appropriate garden journal, colored pencils, magnifying lenses, pots, soil, and seeds. There are also grade level theme kits in Art, Sustainability, Plant Science, STEAM, Hawaiiana, and Nutrition. These were created to support project implementation across nine different grade levels.
Visit our website, www.growsomegood.org, and to learn more, click Education in the menu, and select Garden Kits.
