Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center in collaboration with East Maui Watershed Partnership (EMWP) presents Mālama Wao Akua (Caring for the Realm of the Gods) – a juried art exhibition celebrating the native species of Maui Nui (Maui, Lana‘i, Moloka‘i, Kaho‘olawe). Maui artists featured in the gallery have used their creative talents to raise awareness about the importance of protecting native species.
As part of the opening celebration for this exhibition, we will be inviting guests to create lei they are then welcome to give away, or leave with the Hui.
We are looking for 4 volunteers to help guests make their lei! Lei making experience is appreciated, but not required.
