Every home built, renovated, or repaired by Habitat Maui is a partnership between hundreds of volunteers, organizations, donors, and families. Join us on our construction sites and help families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter!

What to Expect
New Construction (Kula, Maui)
Volunteers will assist within different phases of construction which include:
- Groundwork - i.e. digging, etc
- Building floor joists and subflooring
- Prep-work
- Installing walls
- Hanging and mudding drywall
- Installing cabinets and countertops
- Installing doors and windows
- Flooring
- Finishing work - i.e. trimming, painting, etc
- Landscaping
- Cleaning
- ...and other various tasks
Safety Repairs and Retrofits (Various Locations Throughout Maui County)
Volunteers will help struggling homeowners remain in their homes by assisting with the following:
- Bathroom renovations - i.e. bathtub conversions, etc
- Building wheelchair ramps
- Installing grab bars
- Floor replacement
- Window replacement
- Repairing drywall and ceilings
- Roof repair or replacement
- ...and other various tasks
When can I volunteer?
Volunteer hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 8:30am - 3:30pm. Although we offer flexible hours, we do ask that volunteers serve a minimum of 4 hours, if possible.
