Volunteers help organize or staff AARP community activities such as workshops and tours and provide an AARP presence at activities organized by other organizations (this might include things like staffing a table with educational material or participating in a parade). They may also conduct targeted outreach and engagement to try to build relevance with a specific group such as veterans.
We have both virtual and in-person opportunities. Volunteers interested in in-person opportunities must be vaccinated and complete an In-Person Volunteer Registration form after they have been appointed. Volunteer are provided with orientation and training. Our local Maui volunteer team meets monthly. Meeting attendance is not required for volunteering.
