Maui Nui Botanical Gardens is looking for able volunteers to assist us at a Free Community Event: Lā ‘Ulu- Breadfruit Day! The event will be held at MNBG on Saturday, September 8th, from 10am to 3pm.

There are 4 shifts available:
- Friday, September 7th, from 9am-12pm (Set event tents/tables/chairs)
- Friday, September 7th, from 1pm-4pm (plant labeling & event set up)
- Saturday, September 8th, from 9am-1pm (event assistance)
- Saturday, September 8th, from 12pm-4pm (event assistance & break-down)
Event Volunteer Information:
- Report to the MNBG Office deck to sign in at your designated time.
- All volunteers must complete and sign a 2018 MNBG volunteer waiver & release form (available at the Gardens on the day of the event).
- Anyone who completed a waiver this year will not have to complete the form again.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must provide a parent/guardian signature on this form. (Attached)
- All volunteers should arrive with covered shoes and cool attire (MNBG/Nonprofit/School t-shirts and shorts recommended).
- Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle are always recommended when working outdoors.
- MNBG will provide snacks, drinks and lunch for all volunteers throughout the event.
- Event volunteer tasks include but are not limited to general garden maintenance, event setup, front/back gate security, plant sales assistance, Zero Waste Station Helpers, guest greeters/counters, MNBG information booth helpers, cultural activity helpers, and event breakdown. Indicate which task you'd like to help with, and I'll do my best to make it happen.
