While we all tried to figure out who needed what assistance and when, many folks were also unfamiliar with how to best get volunteering information. Registering as a willing volunteer at www.handsonmaui.com is still the quickest way to gain access to all Maui County nonprofit volunteer opportunities. Let's take a quick dive into how to sign up.
The first step to register as a volunteer is to go to www.handsonamaui.com. You click the "Sign Up" button at the top of the page.
The second step is to create an account. There are just a few simple items to fill out before clicking "create account."
PRO TIP: Make sure to hit "yes" on the last question asking if you would like to receive emails. This means you will get our monthly newsletter with the most urgent Maui County Volunteer needs.
After you create an account you will be asked a short series of questions including if you are a resident or visitor, your skill set, your interests, and a list of some agencies you might want to follow.
After you select a few of these options, you are done! You will see a screen saying your account is complete. You can click the "continue" button to go to the main dashboard where you will find all volunteer opportunities, a calendar of events and more blogs - like this one!
