Who We Are
We are a non-profit, community based organization serving Maui, Molokai and Lana`i. Since 1947, we have been fulfilling our mission to “Empower children and their families to reach their full potential."
What We Do
Imua is a place for our island families who are facing challenges and concerns with their child’s development, behavior or disability. We provide family-centered, therapeutic services for infants, toddlers and preschool children, from birth to age six and their families. Imua Family Services programs include our Infant Child Development Program, serving children birth to age three and our Early Childhood Development Program, serving children three through six years old. Our other programs include Imua Autism Services, Newborn Hearing Screening, Imua Inclusion Preschool, Dream Imua and Camp Imua.
COVID-19 Volunteer Policy:
Imua Family Services will accept individual in-person volunteers for indoor work, individual in-person volunteers for outdoor work, and large group (11 or more) in-person volunteers for outdoor work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Imua Family Services is committed to the health and safety of our community. Volunteers and staff are required to take steps to prevent transmission of respiratory viruses during in-person volunteering. We are following the recommendations of CDC Considerations for Community-Based Organizations. Please view their most recent guidance before reporting for in-person volunteer opportunities, and be prepared to follow those best practices in regards to hand hygiene.
Imua Family Services will provide the following protective materials for in-person volunteers:

For volunteer safety and the health of our community, Imua Family Services will follow strict cleaning and sanitization guidelines outlined by CDC Considerations for Community-Based Organizations.
