Who We Are
Whale Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to scientific research and public awareness of whales and their environment. Based on the Hawaiian Island of Maui, we conduct and support marine research and education programs around Maui and elsewhere throughout the Pacific Ocean.
What We Do
Whale Tales is Hawaii’s premier whale research and education event, hosted by Whale Trust. This annual four-day Maui event brings together international marine experts with residents and visitors to learn about the latest in whale research and conservation. Over four days, renowned scientists, photographers, filmmakers, and conservationists will come together for presentations, whale watches, films, an auction and an education/art expo. More than 15,000 people have attended the event since 2006 and contributed more than $575,000 to whale research in Hawaii.
