Since 1991, MMN has served as the central point of coordination in Maui County for environmental action between community volunteers, local businesses, and government agencies. Through weekly and monthly events including litter pickups, marine debris cleanups, recycling events and environmental education programs, MMN brings community, business and government together to improve the health of the environment and build a more empowered, resilient, and healthy island.
Malama Maui Nui (Community Work Day) is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to facilitate programs that educate, inspire, and empower individuals and communities to beautify and maintain Maui Nui’s environment. The collaborative effort between MMN, its partners, and the residents of Maui County support our economy, quality of life, and unique Hawaiian culture.
