Being led by the world's leading expert in float therapy, Dr. Justin Feinstein, Maui Calm is offering members of the community free float therapy to help with their journey to recovery. An avid user of the therapy himself, Dr. Justin (as we call him) has partnered with the YMCA to help create a beautiful space in Lahaina that uses nature and water to naturally calm the nervous system.
Soon after the fires Dr. Justin contacted his engineers and they immediately started work on designing a system that could be rapidly deployed. A shipping container started to be customized to fit all the elements of 3 private open float pools that could be shipped to the island. We are looking to have the float facility arrive on Maui later this summer. We are so excited to start floating Maui’s residents and offer a safe place of healing.

What We Do
Maui Calm is bringing FREE float therapy to everyone on Maui who has been impacted by the fires.
That's Great! But what is float therapy?
The therapy involves you floating in a specially designed pool with a foot of water and over 1,000lbs of Epsom salt. The water is so dense with salt that it allows your body to float effortlessly, similar to the Dead Sea. Floating in this unique environment allows the body and nervous system to enter a relaxed state. Research has shown that float therapy can rapidly reduce levels of pain, stress, and anxiety. Maui Calm offers this for no cost to everyone who has been impacted by the fires including, fire survivors, frontline workers and first responders.
