We are doing business as Ways of the Rising Woman to clarify our work in supporting the empowerment of women and girls. We are a nonprofit organization led by a diverse group of women committed to dismantling systems of oppression within ourselves and in the world. We believe in shifting from domination to balance and harmony, in healing hurt and harm from racism and caste systems and all forms of discrimination and prejudices against women. We were incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit public charity in 2019 in Maui County.
We create spaces for Women of Color to be seen, heard and supported through their healing and empowerment journey. We offer free mindfulness-based mental health counseling online. This year we'll be creating a virtual course for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
