Through educational outreach and provision of garden space, Hali'imaile Community Garden & Hāliˊimaile Micro Farms aims to:
- Increase access to fresh and healthy produce,
- Encourage food self-sufficiency and reduce hunger,
- Improve understanding of where food comes from,
- Foster awareness of sustainable and organic environmental practices,
- Connect families through healthy gardening activities,
- Provide garden & environmental educational opportunities, and
- Offer opportunities to socialize and partake in volunteerism.
Hāli`imaile Micro Farms is a project of Hāli`imaile Community Garden.
Hali'imaile Community Garden is recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)3.
