Calling All Art Minded friends of Hospice Maui!!
We have an ongoing volunteer opportunity for anyone who may be interested in a water color painting project and/or packaging project.
Hospice Maui uses packages of hand painted Gift Tags to supplement our fundraising efforts. These tags hang on our donation boxes in stores island-wide. The tags take some time and care to prepare, however, once colored and packaged they have proven to be a great way to raise funds for the special needs of our hospice patients.
Painting and Packaging Needs:
The demand for our hand painted gift tags has increased and we would love more assistance in keeping up with the demand.
Packagers – Take home a painted/cut stack to package on your own time or schedule a time to meet with friends in our meeting room to have a packaging party. All packaging supplies will be provided.
Painters - We welcome artist of all levels, from aspiring artists to anyone who can color between the line :)
The cards come in 8.5”x11” sheets with the outlines of island themed designs and sketches on them.
All they need is a little imagination, inspiration, and lots of time and water color paints (or colored pencils have worked well too). Coloring supplies available upon request.
- Take a stack home and paint on your own time
- Have a monthly painting / coloring party – Invite friends over, or meet at a community center, or call to reserve our meeting room.
- Bring a stack to a recreation center, senior center and volunteer to lead a group in a painting project.
