We are looking for dependable individuals to help us with daily care, educational tours, and keeping our sanctuary running smoothly.

Tour Guides & Guest Relations: Share our residents' stories! You will welcome visitors, lead educational tours through the sanctuary, and help guests safely interact with the pigs. Perfect for outgoing individuals who love storytelling.

Pig Care & Socialization: Help us keep our residents happy and healthy. This includes grooming, assisting with feeding schedules, and spending quality time socializing with the pigs so they remain comfortable around humans.

Sanctuary Maintenance & Operations: Keep paradise beautiful! Help with daily chores like cleaning wallows, filling water troughs, organizing supplies, or assisting with light farm maintenance.

Skills & Requirements

Reliability: Our animals rely on us, so consistency is key!

Comfort with Animals: Prior experience with farm animals is a plus, but not required. We will fully train you on pig behavior and safety.

Physical Ability: Must be comfortable walking on uneven terrain and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Age Limit: Volunteers must be [Insert Age, e.g., 18+] (or [16+] if accompanied by an adult).

Volunteer: Landscaping & Brush Clearing

The Maui Pig Sanctuary has seen incredible growth following the recent heavy rains—so much so that we are officially overgrown! We are looking for energetic volunteers to help us clear brush, mow, and weed whack to ensure our sanctuary remains safe and accessible for our resident pigs and visitors.

What We Need

We are currently building a list of available helpers to coordinate a collective "Work Day." Tasks will include:

Heavy Weed Whacking: Clearing tall grass around fence lines and enclosures.

Brush Removal: Gathering and hauling green waste.

Trail Maintenance: Reclaiming paths that have been overtaken by growth.

Skills & Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor outdoors.

Safety First: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (boots preferred) and long pants.

Equipment (Optional): If you have access to a personal weed whacker, lawnmower, or heavy-duty garden shears, please let us know!

Recruitment: Lead efforts to find and onboard new volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare.Scheduling & Training: Assist our founder, Jillian, in organizing volunteer schedules and ensuring all volunteers are properly trained for their roles.Support: Serve as a central point of contact for our volunteers, answering questions and ensuring they have a positive, meaningful experience.
