Creating a Village Youth Summer Program for Middle Schoolers 8:30am-3:15pm Tuesdays & Thursdays June 6-29, 2023
Are you interested in volunteering this summer or know of a middle school youth that would be interested in participating in a fun and free program? If so, then consider joining Creating a Village!
Creating a Village provides practice with life skills including:
- Getting a Job
- Physical Fitness
- Meal Planning
- Gardening
- Basic Banking
- Entrepreneurship
- Team Building
- Health and Nutrition
- Plus Many More!
The program will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 6-29, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM at UH Maui College. Currently in its fourth year, Creating a Village is supported by adult leaders, teen mentors, and community content experts. The goal is for middle school students to gain confidence in the skills they need to transition to adulthood, including building relationships, leadership, and problem-solving.
The program is FREE and all supplies will be provided to participants.
