Join us for a day of mālama ʻāina. Our tasks will focus on weed control and constructing a new fence for future plantings of trees and shrubs, such as this endemic naupaka kuahiwi.

Date: Saturday, September 14th, 2024
Time: 8:15 am to 1:00 pm Place: Meet at the parking lot below the Waiheʻe Ridge Trail head, outside of Camp Maluhia
What to bring: Long-sleeve shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes with good tread, at least 2 liters of water, snacks, lunch, sun protection, and a backpack. MKWP will provide gloves and tools. Please make sure your packs, clothing, shoes and gear are cleaned of all mud, dirt, seeds, etc.
What to expect: We will hike a little over a mile up the trail to the stewardship site. We will break for lunch around noon and continue to work for another hour and be back at the parking lot by 1pm.
