MNBG is looking for able volunteers to help us at the Arbor Day Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway set for Saturday, November 2nd, from 9am to 2pm.
Event volunteer tasks include, but are not limited to: general garden maintenance, event setup, sugarcane juice/water/snack sales, front/back gate security, plant experts, MNBG merchandise sales, guest greeters/counters, free tree ticket distribution, MNBG information booth helpers, photography, and cultural activity helpers, and event breakdown.

There are many shifts available:
- Thursday, October 31st, from 9am-12pm (event set up: build tents)
- Thursday, October 31st, from 1-4pm (event set up: build tents)
- Friday, November 1st, from 10am- 12pm (event set up: place tables/chairs)
- Friday, November 1st, from 1-4pm (event set up: plant labeling and transport)
- Saturday, November 2nd, from 8am-12pm (event assistance: shift #1)
- Saturday, November 2nd, from 12-4pm (event assistance: shift #2)
- Saturday, November 2nd, from 2pm-4pm (event break-down)
Event Volunteer Information:
- Event volunteers must check in at the beginning of their shift to receive a nametag and instructions.
- All volunteers must complete and sign a 2019 MNBG volunteer waiver & release form (available at the Gardens on the day of the event).
- Anyone who completed a waiver this year will not have to complete the form again.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must provide a parent/guardian signature on this form. (attached)
- All volunteers should arrive with covered shoes and cool attire (MNBG/Nonprofit/School t-shirts and shorts recommended).
- Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle are always recommended when working outdoors.
- MNBG will provide snacks, drinks and lunch for all volunteers.
