Volunteer: Landscaping & Brush Clearing

The Maui Pig Sanctuary has seen incredible growth following the recent heavy rains—so much so that we are officially overgrown! We are looking for energetic volunteers to help us clear brush, mow, and weed whack to ensure our sanctuary remains safe and accessible for our resident pigs and visitors.

What We Need

We are currently building a list of available helpers to coordinate a collective "Work Day." Tasks will include:

Heavy Weed Whacking: Clearing tall grass around fence lines and enclosures.

Brush Removal: Gathering and hauling green waste.

Trail Maintenance: Reclaiming paths that have been overtaken by growth.

Skills & Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor outdoors.

Safety First: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (boots preferred) and long pants.

Equipment (Optional): If you have access to a personal weed whacker, lawnmower, or heavy-duty garden shears, please let us know!

Why Join Us?

This is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors and support a local non-profit dedicated to animal welfare. You’ll be working in a beautiful environment and providing much-needed help to ensure our pigs have a clean, manageable space to roam.
