Hale Hoikeike is looking for help cleaning, weeding, trimming and raking our ethnobotanical garden. If you enjoy the great outdoors we've got just the thing you're looking for. No experience required! Please reach out to us.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, watering, and maintaining native Hawaiian plants in the museum garden.

Ensure pathways and visitor areas are free of debris, leaves, and other obstructions.Help with setting up and maintaining outdoor spaces for events and special exhibitions.

Collaborate with the facilities team to identify any repairs or maintenance needs on the grounds.

Assist with seasonal plantings and care of the museum’s historical and native plant collections.

Ideal Candidate:

Enjoys working outdoors and has basic knowledge of landscaping or gardening.

Able to handle light to moderate physical tasks.

Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late afternoons.

Available on weekdays for groundskeeping tasks.

Hale Hoikeike is offering students studying in the hospitality field for Work study and work experience. Get on the job training and work with visitors from around the world. We have opportunities  Mon-Fri from 10am-2pm

Passionate Archivists inquire here! We will be constructing our new Archival building, and could use expertise in preparing for a move. If you have no experience but are interested in learning, we would be happy to train you and have you assist us with indexing and organizing for the move.
