Would you like to help end the cycle of poverty and homelessness among our children here on the island? Would you like to be part of the solution, meet new people and help the community come together to help our homeless children?
We are hosting 2 Car Washes in Wakea at the 'Ohana Fuels Station on Aug. 21st and Sept. 18th
Project Hawai’i, Inc. is a volunteer staffed nonprofit run by public donations to help homeless keiki succeed. Our charity was selected as 'Ohana Fuels charity for the 3rd quarter to receive a grant award.
We have three options available:
1. Become a Car Wash Supervisor/Volunteer Coordinator
2. Become a Car Wash volunteer and assist with car wash duties, sign waving, etc.
3. If you are a group leader/coordinator and wish to have your group sign up to volunteer.
CAR WASH COORDINATOR responsibilities: 9:30a.m.- 2:15 p.m.
1. Coordinate with the volunteers prior to event (I will send the information as volunteer sign up). You can also help with recruiting volunteers by spreading the word, social media, through your groups, clubs, etc. We need at least 10 volunteers per shift to make it enjoyable for everyone involved.
2. Set up a small table area for volunteer check in at event/check in volunteers. There are two shifts of volunteers. You need to be set up by 9:40 a.m. for first shift check in and check in second shift at 11:45 a.m. You will be attending from approx. 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
3. Provide water for volunteers at check in table
4. Create a Donation box to put donations/car wash payments
5. Meet with our coordinator to deposit funds
6. Take photos at the event of volunteers/car wash, etc. Post on Social Media and tag @ohanafuels and @projecthawaiiinc as well as text or send photos to our main director
CAR WASH VOLUNTEER responsibilities:
1. Show up on-time and volunteer the entire shift. Each shift is 2 hours and 15 minutes
9:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon. ~ or ~ 11:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
2. Wash cars, assist with various duties, greeting customers, sign holding, collection donations
3. Prior to event (when you sign up or up to the date) post on social media your volunteer involvement along with the date and time. Tag @ohanafuels and @ProjectHawaiiInc
4. During/At the event post on social media and tag @projecthawaiiinc and @ohanafuels
GROUPS/CLUBS Volunteer responsibilities:
1. Have a coordinator (see above requirements)
2. Coordinate with your volunteers and work out if they are working 2 shifts or split shifts, etc.
3. Attend with and coordinate your team of volunteers
4. One week prior to the event advertise on Social Media and tag @OhanaFuels and @ProjectHawaiiInc

OPTION, you may make a flier to advertise your event as well. Please request our logo to add to your flier.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS Aug. 21st or Sept. 11th ~ Saturdays
Shift ONE: Check in at 9:45 a.m. volunteer until 12:00 noon
Shift TWO: Check in at 11:45 a.m. volunteer until 2 p.m.
