In an effort to rev up holiday volunteer efforts for our Partner Agencies and the community as a whole, the Volunteer Center will be holding two hands-on GetConnected training workshops.
GetConnected 101
Are you just getting started with GetConnected or are your skills a little rusty? If so, this training is for you! We'll go over all the basics, plus some new tips and tricks.
In this training, we will:
- Make sure your Agency Profile is complete and ready to attract high-quality volunteers for Your Agency
- Understand the difference between Needs and Events and how to use them
- Go over the best way to post Volunteer Opportunities (needs) so the right people see them at the right time
- Have some hands-on time to help spruce up (or create) Your Agency's holiday volunteer opportunities
GetConnected Outreach
Does Your Agency need more volunteers, or more of a specific type of volunteer? This highly-interactive session will focus on doing more effective and efficient volunteer outreach using GetConnected.
In this training, we will:
- Learn to optimize Your Agency's Agency Profile and Volunteer Needs to maximize volunteerism
- Master specific strategies for sharing your Volunteer Needs on social media so more of the right volunteers see them
- Delve into how GetConnected can streamline your organization's volunteer recruitment and management
- Explore some graphics tools to make everything Your Agency posts more eye-catching for potential volunteers
