HandsOn Maui, the County of Maui Volunteer Center, is asking agencies to give a shout out to those shining stars who've gone above and beyond in making Maui County a better place. Nominations Now Open - Seize the Opportunity
If you know a volunteer whose Aloha spirit is simply unmatched, it's time to give them the recognition they deserve. This is your chance as a Volunteer Manager to shine the spotlight on those exceptional individuals making waves in Maui County's nonprofit scene.
How to Nominate
Nominating your volunteer hero is simple. The form can be found on our website at www.handsonmaui.com/nominate. Each nomination must include the volunteers name, photo, and brief description of their contribution to the community. Please keep in mind the deadline for nominations is March 5, 2024 at noon.
What's New in 2024 - Changes to Celebrate
Notable changes to the 2024 Celebration of Service include an earlier nomination period, ensuring we have enough time to prepare content and give each volunteer hero the attention they deserve. Plus, this year's celebration will be fully digital. We have also capped this year to the first 25 volunteers to be nominated.
How We're Celebrating
During National Volunteer Month in April, we'll be unveiling our Volunteer Heroes on @HandsonMaui Facebook and Instagram. Nominees will be recognized with their own special post on our socials, shout outs on our e-news, and a blog on our website.
Recognition for Volunteer Heroes
Each nominee will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the County of Maui and a Volunteer Hero T-shirt.

The deadline to submit your nomination is March 5, 2024, but remember, only the first 25 nominees will make the cut. All of Maui County's agencies and government volunteer programs should make sure to fill out the nomination form and see the guidelines at www.handsonmaui.com/nominate. Only one nominee application is accepted per organization, so make it count!
