It's that time of year again! It's time to submit your nominations for the annual Volunteer Hero Celebration.
Every year HandsOn Maui, The County of Maui invites organizations to submit a nomination for a volunteer that they believe has shown exemplary work throughout the past year.
All individuals currently volunteering with a Maui County nonprofit organization are eligible. Nominations must be submitted online by April 1, 2023.

HandsOn Maui wants to honor Maui County volunteers who dedicate their time and service in the community. All nonprofits registered in Maui, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi are encouraged to nominate a Volunteer Hero that goes above and beyond basic duty or makes a significant impact in the success of a nonprofit mission.
"Every year we look forward to celebrating these passionate Maui County residents," says Volunteer Center Coordinator, Wendy Stebbins. "While every person who donates their free time to making Maui a better place is a hero, this is a special opportunity to recognize the dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond so they know how grateful we all are!"
Volunteer Heroes will be announced and spotlighted via HandsOn Maui Facebook and Instagram platforms during National Volunteer Week (April 16, 2023 through April 22, 2023). Each nominee receives a Certificate of Recognition from the County Of Maui at an in-person celebratory event and a classic Volunteer Hero T-shirt.
The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2023. The nomination form can be found at www.handsonmaui.com/nominate. Only one nominee application is accepted per organization. The nominating organization submitting an application must be a nonprofit or government volunteer program in the County of Maui.
