Who We Are
With over 10 years of experience in growing school gardens, Grow Some Good is recognized throughout the island of Maui for changing lives and changing perspectives through hands-on outdoor education. Our programs are designed to grow more than just gardens; we grow healthier and more sustainable communities by creating affordable access to local produce and educating students, their families, and the greater community on practices that improve nutrition, health and fitness. Our mission is to “Cultivate a healthy community by strengthening local agriculture and improving access to nutritious, affordable food.”
What We Do
Come join the fun in the gardens! Grow Some Good creates and supports school garden programs at various schools on Maui. Volunteer assistance is especially helpful during the summer months when gardens need a little extra TLC. Projects often include planting, weeding, pruning, and other tasks to meet the seasonal needs of the gardens. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. It's always a good idea to bring sun protection and drinking water.
Special Projects for Your Group
Want to share the joy of the gardens with your team? We can set up a fun and educational work day just for your group. Garden projects are great for youth organizations like sports teams and service clubs, as well as community groups and businesses. We can always use a hand in the gardens, and it’s a great way to spend time with your team. Please contact volunteer@Growsomegood.org to get involved.
